Verdict
With the RX 6700 XT running 73% above the RX 5700 XT — a $580.00 premium — the two cards sit in meaningfully different price brackets. The RX 5700 XT wins on value unless the extra performance matters for your workload.
The RX 6700 XT's 12 GB of VRAM is a 4 GB advantage over the RX 5700 XT. At 4K or in heavily modded games that extra buffer matters — and it provides headroom as future titles push VRAM requirements higher.
Unless you specifically need what the RX 6700 XT offers, the RX 5700 XT is the stronger value at this price gap.
