AMD's Radeon prices are sliding, led by a 5.6% cut on the RX 9070 XT

The Radeon RX 9070 XT has been the card to watch this month, climbing as high as $739.99 before stalling out around $719.99 for a week. Today it finally moved the right way, dropping 5.6% to $679.99. That is the steepest single-day decline we have logged for it this month. It still sits above its $599 MSRP, but the premium is shrinking.

AMD’s other cards drifted lower too. The RX 7900 XTX slipped to $1,049.99 from $1,069.99, and the RX 7600 came down to $279.99. The one card going the other way was the RX 7800 XT, which ticked up to $594.00. NVIDIA, by contrast, did not move at all: the RTX 5080 held $1,249.99, the RTX 5070 stayed $635.99, and the RTX 5060 Ti kept yesterday’s $349.99.

If you have been eyeing the 9070 XT, peek at the used market before buying new. There is a used listing at $649.97 right now, which only undercuts the fresh $679.99 price by about 4%. That gap is thin enough that a new card with a full warranty is the smarter pick for most buyers.
