The RTX 5050 finally came back to earth
Today clears the ad hoc gate because the tracked RTX 5050 fell from $499.99 on September 15 to $380.04 today on its exact Amazon page, a 24.0% drop. That puts it within ten bucks of the tracked Arc B580 at $369.99, so the RTX 5050 vs. Arc B580 comparison just moved from theoretical to useful if you are shopping around the $400 line.
NVIDIA’s next rung shifted too. The tracked RTX 4060 fell from $530.00 on September 16 to $490.52 today, while the tracked RTX 5060 held at $459.99. That keeps the RTX 5050 vs. RTX 4060 comparison awkward in a good way, because there is now only about a $110 gap between the cheaper card and the older step up.
Outside that lane, the refreshed board was mostly steady. The tracked RX 7900 XTX held at $1,129.99 after yesterday’s crash, the tracked RTX 5070 Ti stayed at $1,199.99, and the tracked RX 9070 XT remained $799.51. If you are shopping above $1,000, the RX 7900 XTX vs. RTX 5070 Ti comparison is still the cleaner reminder that 24 GB is suddenly not the expensive choice it looked like earlier this week.
