Verdict
With the Radeon RX 9060 XT running 56% above the RX 580 — a $330.00 premium — the two cards sit in meaningfully different price brackets. The RX 580 wins on value unless the extra performance matters for your workload.
The Radeon RX 9060 XT's 16 GB of VRAM is a 8 GB advantage over the RX 580. At 4K or in heavily modded games that extra buffer matters — and it provides headroom as future titles push VRAM requirements higher.
Unless you specifically need what the Radeon RX 9060 XT offers, the RX 580 is the stronger value at this price gap.
