RX 6700 XT vs GTX 1660 Super

With the RX 6700 XT running 63% above the GTX 1660 Super — a $500.00 premium — the two cards sit in meaningfully different price brackets. The GTX 1660 Super wins on value unless the extra performance matters for your workload.

The RX 6700 XT's 12 GB of VRAM is a 6 GB advantage over the GTX 1660 Super. At 4K or in heavily modded games that extra buffer matters — and it provides headroom as future titles push VRAM requirements higher.

Power consumption is a meaningful differentiator here: the GTX 1660 Super draws 125 W versus 230 W for the RX 6700 XT. That 105 W gap can determine whether your existing PSU is sufficient and will show up in long-term electricity costs.

As an NVIDIA card, the GTX 1660 Super gives you access to DLSS 4 super-resolution and Frame Generation, which can meaningfully lift frame rates in supported titles. The RX 6700 XT counters with FSR 4, which is open-source and works across a wider range of games — including some that don't support DLSS. Which ecosystem matters more depends on the games in your library.

For most buyers at this price point, the GTX 1660 Super is the practical choice — unless DLSS or a large VRAM advantage specifically matters to your use case.
