The RTX 4070 Super jumped back to $969 while the RTX 5070 held
Today clears the ad hoc gate on one ugly price move alone. The tracked RTX 4070 Super shot from $745.22 on September 20 to $969.00 today on its exact Amazon page, a 30.0% one-day jump. That instantly wrecks the easy value case it had yesterday, because the tracked RTX 5070 is now basically the same money at $979.65. The RTX 4070 Super vs. RTX 5070 comparison went from a nice reminder that older stock can still matter to a much simpler message: if these are your two tabs, the newer card is suddenly a lot easier to justify.
AMD did not give the market much cover for Nvidia’s jump either. The tracked RX 9070 held at $689.99, the tracked RX 9060 XT stayed at $519.99, and the tracked RX 7600 stayed at $329.99. That leaves the RTX 4070 Super vs. RX 9070 comparison looking even harsher than it did yesterday, because the green card got dramatically more expensive while the red alternative did not budge.
The weird part is that the halo tier needed a second pass. The original Amazon pages for the RTX 5090 and RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell both fell back to See All Buying Options this morning. Later verification found exact-model replacement listings: an ASUS TUF RTX 5090 at $6,795.00 and a PNY RTX PRO 6000 Blackwell at $15,929.99. Those are listing swaps, not clean overnight market moves. The clearest buyer takeaway is still the RTX 4070 Super getting a lot less appealing overnight.
