RTX 5070 Found $599.99 (Sep 28)
The September 22 through September 28 snapshots ranged from 3,743 to 3,904 eBay listings per day. That makes this a listing-market digest, not a full retail survey, but the week had two real moves worth keeping.
First, the cheapest new RTX 5070 listing moved from $629.99 on September 22 through 24 down to $599.99 on September 25, then held there through the weekend. That pushed the 12GB card to an even $50.00 per GB in the snapshot.
Second, the cheapest new RX 9070 XT listing moved from $699.99 earlier in the week to $680.99 on September 27 and 28. That kept the 16GB Radeon card $81 above the RTX 5070 by the end of the week, but it also dropped the memory math to $42.56 per GB.
So the week-ending call is pretty clean: NVIDIA had the lower checkout price, AMD had the stronger memory-per-dollar argument. If your build wanted the cheapest new listing in this tier, the RTX 5070 looked better. If you wanted 16GB and could absorb the extra $81, the RX 9070 XT deserved a serious look. Put them side by side before treating either answer as universal.
The upper tier was boring in a useful way. The cheapest new RTX 5080 listing stayed around $1,444.46 to $1,444.47, and the cheapest new RTX 5090 entry stayed at $2,617.49 all week. The midrange was where the actual buyer decision changed.
